Natanya West Hollywood Concert reviews
Lindsey was great, everything else was not
Natanya is incredible, the way she moves while playing is ridiculously impressive. Her production was fantastic, her "patter" between songs was endearing and the live musicians and dancers were great. I am short and have no interest in being in the throngs of teenage/20-something EDM fans that crowded to the front of the stage. Instead, I like to go see live music, not get drunk and jump into my friends while packed like sardines with no option of sitting for 3 hours. Every time Natanya was telling a story (about a fan who almost committed suicide inspiring a song, or how she struggled with self-image for a long time) and the normally loud show was quiet, the drunks right behind me who didn't notice someone was sharing their soul onstage was all I could hear. That being said, I am not a fan of General Admission only venues. This was also the area nearest the bar, so first we had to listen to the most boring dj on the planet tell the unresponsive crowd to "get crazy" and then flap like a chicken for 45 minutes as an opening act. I spent the night hanging out in the back with the parents and other older fans on the unforgiving concrete floor with terrible visibility. Natanya was great.
